Delete your MBBS account

1. Who this page is for

This page explains how to delete your account and data for the MBBS app (Android) and website, published by MBBS Studios.

2. How to delete your account

In the Android app

Open MBBS and sign in.
Go to the Account tab.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

On the website

Sign in at readmbbs.com.
Open Account (your avatar at the top right).
Choose Delete account and confirm.

If you cannot sign in

Choose Forgot password on the sign-in screen. We email you a code. Enter it, set a new password, then follow the steps above.

What happens next

You have a 14-day grace period. Your account keeps working normally, and you can cancel the deletion from the same Account screen at any time before it ends.
Deletion runs in a daily job after the grace period closes, so allow up to a day beyond day 14.

3. What is deleted

When deletion runs, we delete:

Your reading progress and position in every story.
The choices you made and the story state they produced.
Your notification settings and the notifications in your account.
Your push notification tokens (the codes that let us send notifications to your phone).
The list of stories you follow.
Your purchase records and any unfinished checkouts.
Your season reactions.
Your referral records and points, and your referral code. The record on the other side of a referral, for the person who referred you or whom you referred, is removed too. Points they already earned stay with them.
For editors and admins: the story drafts you wrote.
Your account record: your email address, username, the country saved on your account, and the record that you accepted the Terms.
Your ability to sign in. Your sign-in identity is removed.

4. What is kept, and for how long

Some information is kept after deletion. Here is what, why, for how long, and whether it is linked to you.

Your old username in a notification shown to the person who referred you	It is part of that person's own notification history.	Until that person deletes their own account.	It shows the username you had before deletion.

Feedback without an account. If you sent feedback and typed an email address but never had an account, deleting an account does not apply to it. Email support@readmbbs.com and we will deal with it.

Outside our own database. Other companies hold their own copies, under their own policies and the law, and we cannot delete those for you: Flutterwave (your email address and payment history, for web purchases), Google Play and RevenueCat (mobile purchases), our email provider (emails we sent you) and our push notification provider.

Backups and logs. Our database provider keeps backups, which may still contain deleted data until they expire under the provider's own schedule. If an email to you fails to send, our server logs can contain your email address; those logs are held by our hosting provider.
